ATLANTA BRAVES 1967-1972
George Stone's best Braves year was probably his 13-10 season during the Braves NL West winning season of 1969. Career Brave highlights include a NINE-hit shutout against the Big Red Machine on June 26, 1971.
He was traded to the Mets in 1973 along with Felix Millan for Gary Gentry and Danny Frisella. The Braves finished in 5th place that year and the Mets went to the World Series. (Braves bad 70's trade number...I 've lost track)
