| Two future all-stars and Larry Owen |
Larry "Buck" Owen was the Braves back-up catcher for Bruce Benedict during the early 80's. To be honest with you, the main thing I remember about Owen is that Braves announcer Ernie Johnson always called him "Buck" Owen every time he came into a game. During Larry's 107 career Brave at-bats, he managed only a .193 batting average. His only two home runs as a Brave came in the same game against the Reds on September 19, 1985.
