"Got to call him, Jorgy!" said Braves announcer Ernie Johnson when the team acquired this veteran pinch-hitter and role player from the Mets in 1983. I remember liking him during his brief time with the Braves, though it only amounted to 19 hits in 87 at-bats. I do remember Mike hitting a pinch-hit home run against the Mets on July 25, 1983 and would have been a game winner if the Braves had managed to hold the lead.
