FAVORITE BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1980'S
#83 JIM ACKER
ATLANTA BRAVES 1986-1988
Jim was the Braves main closer during the 1987 season finishing with 14 saves. His career W-L record for the team was a less than impressive 7-27. The Braves tried him as a starter in 1986, where his best game was probably an 8-inning win at San Diego on August 4, 1986.
Jim is not to be confused with 70's Braves pitcher Jack Aker.
