FAVORITE BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1970'S
#55 TOM PACIOREK
ATLANTA BRAVES 1976-1978
Tom "Wimpy" Paciorek couldn't break into a good Dodgers line-up during the early 70's and went to the Braves in the Dusty Baker trade. The Braves never seemed to know how to use him and Tom was traded to the American League before finally becoming a starter for several years with the Mariners and White Sox.
In review, Tom came to Atlanta in the Dusty Baker trade (bad trade for the Braves) and was released by the Braves in 1978 (another bad move by the Braves) and went on to play until 1987, including being selected as an all-star in 1981. Oh, boy. Who was responsible for all these misguided trades again?
