I'm not sure what to say about Al Closter. He pitched only the last four games of his twenty-one game major league career with the Braves. Al's biggest opportunity in Atlanta was to try to save a game for Phil Niekro on September 19, 1973, but as was usually the case when the Dodgers faced the Braves in the 70's, the Dodgers came back to win. Al pitched only one more major league inning after that before his career was over.
