BOB ASPROMONTE

ALPHABETIC LIST OF THE
50 BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1970'S
WHO DIDN'T MAKE MY ORIGINAL
100 FAVORITE PLAYER LIST

#2 BOB ASPROMONTE
ATLANTA BRAVES 1968-1970

Bob played regularly for Houston during the mid-60's before being dealt to the Braves in 1969 near the end of his career. He didn't do too much as a Brave, though he did hit a home run in the bottom of the ninth on June 20, 1969 off Mike McCormick of the Giants to send that game into extra innings.

He also played one game for the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1956, the last season of that team's existence. His brother Ken played briefly for the Milwaukee Braves in 1962.

I also don't think his early 60's Colt 45 uniform pictured below would fly today.
