#10 DON COLLINS
ATLANTA BRAVES 1977
The 1977 Braves season represented ninety percent of Lyons, Georgia native Don Collins's major league career. His stats for that season: 40 games, a 3-9 record, and a 5.02 ERA. The odd thing about Don to me is that I can barely remember him and I watched a lot of games in 1977! Maybe I'm just suppressing an unpleasant memory.
It's a little hard to pick out his statistically best game of that season. Nothing really stands out. Let's just go with a six inning, two run start against a tough Dodger team on June 27, 1977. The Braves lost the game 2-1, but that one wasn't Don's fault.
