FAVORITE BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1970'S
#34 TOM HOUSE
ATLANTA BRAVES 1971-1975
Tom was the best reliever the Braves had during the early 70's, including a 1.93 ERA in 56 games in 1974. But Tom's highlight for me in 1974? April 8, 1974, Hank Aaron hits number 715 into the Atlanta bullpen and Tom House nabs it. He brings it back to home plate and takes it to the new home run king and proudly presents it to him. (And not to Sammy Davis, Jr. who offered a thousand bucks for it!)
VERY cool photo of House getting the Aaron ball in the bullpen. I've never seen that photo before. Thanks for posting it!
