ATLANTA BRAVES 1976-1981
I like Brian partly because he was always a hard-nosed enough player, but also because I feel bad for him because of his bad luck. He had just won the starting centerfield position for the Braves and was playing well when he ran into the dangerous fence in the Atlanta stadium outfield on May 31, 1978. He missed the rest of the season. He did comeback to a .284 playing part-time the 1980 season, but he was out of baseball after 1981.
And no, I don't know the story of why his hair looks like that in the baseball card below.
