FAVORITE BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1980'S
#24 LONNIE SMITH
The Braves teams of the 1990's sent five teams to the World Series. This is a mind-blowing number to think about as someone who grew up as a fan during the 70's and 80's. But how do we rate those important 90's players who also played for the team in the 1990's? I'll just do the best I can and clump them all together.

80's resume-Veteran outfielder Lonnie Smith had his best power year in the majors with 21 homers to go along with a .315 average for the 1989 Braves. He led the league in On Base Percentage that year.
90's resume-Lonnie Smith famously filled in for a suspended Otis Nixon and led the Braves to the postseason during the 1991 season. He also hit a grand slam in the 1992 World Series.
