#41 DONNIE MOORE

FAVORITE BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1980'S
#41 DONNIE MOORE
ATLANTA BRAVES 1981-1984

Donnie Moore spent three seasons pitching relief for the Braves and led the team in saves in 1984 with 16.
After 1984, Donnie was picked up by the California Angels and was one of the top relievers in the American league for the next two years.

Donnie is best remembered for the home run he gave up to Dave Henderson of the Red Sox when the Angels were one out away from their first World Series. The Angels ended up losing that series and Moore's career was over. Sadly, Moore committed suicide after a domestic dispute in 1989 at the age of 35.
