FAVORITE BRAVES PLAYERS OF THE 1980'S
#85 LARRY BRADFORD
ATLANTA BRAVES 1977-1981
Larry "Third of an inning" Bradford had had his best season in the majors in 1980 for the Braves, pitching in 56 games and winning three. He pitched one inning or less in 42 of them. Larry's third of an inning victory in his last year of 1981 was on April 12, 1981. He came in in the 8th inning of that game and retired Ken Griffey and departed. His team rallied and won the game for him. One batter and out is definitely the way I remember Mr. Bradford.
Larry passed away in Atlanta in 1998 at the age of 48.
